Another Hello Kitty box

Hi everyone! As you can see, I've been busy making things with all the new Hello Kitty sizzlit dies. Todays box uses the same die from yesterday, the SU scalloped envelope die. And although we do not carry this die, you can order it from a SU representative.I used a Hello Kitty embosslit die to decorate this box. If you want instructions on making this box, go to my blog for the tutorial. I stamped the background paper using the new Hero Arts houndstooth stamp. I love this stamp and it is one of my favorites now.As you can see, this box is skinnier and can hold a post it note pad or you can put a bag of Hershey candy bars inside the box.I also made one in purple since I did the tutorial using purple cardstock and didn't want to waste the box.The embosslit dies are easy to use. There is no paper piecing to it. You can just color the face like I did using markers.

Hello Kitty bunny costume box

Hi everyone! Here's a box that I made using the new Sizzix Hello Kitty spring dies. Sorry but the box part is a die that Sizzix makes for Stampin Up so we do not sell this die in the store. It is an exclusive die for SU and you can buy it from a SU representative. I have the tutorial for the box on my blog site.This die is the Hello Kitty in bunny costume sizzlit die. The bunny die is also a sizzlit die called bunnies and chicks.

Hello Kitty bag

Hi everyone! I made this bag yesterday using the Cricut cartridge tags, bags, and boxes. I bought a bag of tic tacs and it fits perfectly in the bag. I wanted to use this new die that just arrived in the store last week. This Sizzix die is called Hello Kitty w/bees, flowers and ladybugs. I used Doodlebug frills for the grass that kitty is standing on and Offray ribbon for the handles. And a reminder, if you have dies on hold, please pick them up from the store.

New shipments

Hi everyone! Today, we finally got our shipment of Hello Kitty w/hearts & balloons and Hello Kitty w/bees, flowers & ladybugs. The dies are sooo cute!
And we also received all the brand spanking new Spellbinders dies that were released at the winter CHA show. I think my favorite is the Labels Three nestabilities. Call the store if there is a die you were waiting for. These will sell out fast!

A few things...

Hi everyone! The last couple days we've been receiving some shipments from different companies. First off, we have new patterned cardstock papers from Diecuts With a View. Really cute prints! The store is restocked again with black Memento ink pads. Great for coloring with your Copic pens. We also have some new Hero Arts stamps that just arrived today. And Dandelion Design stamps are also in and lastly, we have some new dies in from Sizzix. The Hello Kitty Easter dies should be here anyday now. I will post it when it comes in.

Saturday's make and take

Hi everyone! This past Saturday we had a Sizzix make & take and I was quite surprised that so many people came since the weather was pretty bad outside. Here is what we made using the new Hello Kitty bunny ears sizzlit die. EDIT - sorry forgot to say that we covered a Necco Easter candy box. You can find them in Longs Drugs or Pricebusters.

This die is so cute! I had been waiting for the spring Hello Kitty dies to show up so I could make the sample and thank goodness it arrived last week. We all had fun and here are some photos that my husband took.
It was so nice seeing everyone again and also meeting all the new people that came.

We'll be having another make & take on April 4th from 10 - 12 pm with Jean from Dandelion Designs. So mark your calendars for April 4th.

Hello Kitty spring bonnet

Here is a card that I made using one of the new Sizzix Hello Kitty embosslits that we received last week. It's a much bigger size than the ones we received on the March releases. This one is Hello Kitty with bonnet.It cuts and embosses a flower wreath and the kitty. So you're actually getting 2 dies. I used the acetate that we sell in the store to make this card. I placed the flower wreath on the top of the acetate and the pink kitty is placed under the acetate and attached to the white dotted embossed cardstock.

You can see it better in this photo. I tied a pink sheer ribbon around the acetate and card to hold it together. I put white pearl gemstones on the flower wreath and kitty's bonnet.

We will be getting more of the spring Hello Kitty's in this weeks shipment. Have a great Sunday evening!

A very sweet treat!

Hi everyone! I'm a little late in posting this but we are having a make & take sweet treat this Saturday, March 14th from 10 - 12 pm. We'll be using the new Hello Kitty spring dies. I couldn't work on the project until I received the dies which came in yesterday so that is why I am late in posting this. Please bring your scissors since there will be some snipping to do. We're going to have fun making this really cute project!!! And don't forget that we also get to eat cupcakes too.

Easter Hello Kitty dies

Hi everyone! We received our shipment today of the Easter Hello Kitty dies and also Scrappy Cat floral dies. The Easter dies are sooo cute! We are still waiting for the 3 styles of the Hello Kittty deco srip dies with the little Hello Kitty, ladybug, bunny, and bee etc. I will let you know when those arrive at the store. As always, call the store if there is something you are waiting for.

Hello Kitty box

Here's a sample of a box you can make using the decorative doily die as the handle for the box. It only takes 1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11" cardstock.

Cut a slit at the top of the box and place the decorative doily die cut out through the slit. It fits perfectly in the box. Cut a window in the front of the box. I used acetate paper from the store to cover the opening. And decorate the front of the box with any of the new Hello Kitty sizzlit dies. I threw some Easter candy and shreds inside the box.

Supplies:

Sizzix Hello Kitty sitting w/ bow & shoes sizzlit die, Sizzix decorative doily die, cardstock for the box, DCWV paper, acetate paper for window, and Hero Arts gemstone.

Hello Kitty banner

I finally made something with this Sizzix XL banner die. There are a lot of things you can make with it but I think this would make cute centerpieces for birthday parties. You can use any die to decorate the banner.I put Mimmy on there since she was a perfect fit. Um... notice what I used to hold the banner.And since I didn't have a stick, I used a wooden chopstick because it was sitting there in my can of markers.

Supplies:

Sizzix Mimmy sizzlet die, Sizzix XL banner die, cardstocks, Cuttlebug swiss dots folder, ribbon, stickles glitter glue and a wooden chopstick.
