Happy New Years everyone!!!

Hi everyone! So hard to believe that another year has gone by and in a couple days, it will be 2010. Anyways, I haven't been posting much lately so I thought I'd put a couple samples on the blog.
This first box is called Box #3. It is a very big box and can hold a lot of goodies in it. Especially baked goods. I used a BAB die from Sizzix. The picture on the die shows a boy bear but you can easily make it into a girl by changing the colors on the papers you use. Here's a side view of the box so you can see how big it is.
This next box is called ornate box It is a smaller version of Box #3 but with a window cut out on the cover.

I used Hero Art's new girlie stamps to decorate the boxes. I have made quite a few to give away.
Here's a side view of this box so you can see the size in comparrison to Box #3.Also, a reminder that the store will be closed tomorrow and Friday. My husband will be having surgery tomorrow and I guess they scheduled it with the holiday so he can rest. The store will be open on Saurday.

Final year end sale!

Hi everyone! This week's sale is the "final year end sale". You must print a copy of this post or if you're going green, show us this post on your cell phone. Sizzix shipment and extended yellow tag sale

Hi everyone! We received some new dies from Sizzix and also the carry all box is now in stock and the cute gingerbread man.We are extending our sale on all yellow tagged items until closing on Saturday December 26th. All yellow tagged items are 1/2 off the handwritten price. Some of these items were originally $20 and marked down to $9.50 and with the 1/2 off sale, it will be $4.75. I checked around the store and I saw items for $3 and less.

Here's a Christmas card that I made to send to a special friend. I used one of last years Dandelion holiday stamps, word stamp is from Hero Arts and snowflake border punch is from EK Success.Here's a sample of the new Sizzix popcorn box. It can hold quite a bit of treats. I decorated the top with a Sizzlit snowflake die and added stickles for the glitter on the snowflake.Here's the photo of the top of the box.And lastly, one of our customers made us his and hers snowman covered Hershey candy bars. Such a cute idea using punches.

Hero Arts 2010 preview party

Stamp sale and last Saturday's make & take plus a pop-up card

Hi everyone! We just received a shipment of new items from Trimcraft. We have glitter papers and new wooden stamps from Smirk. Also, all stamps in the store are at 20% off the retail price. I actually finished making the Sizzix Santa sleigh pop-up card yesterday. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was. Santa looks like he has a suntan. The tree is a punch from EK Success. You can check the sample out in the store.

I didn't get a chance to post the photo's of our winners from Saturday's make & take. We had 7 lucky winners. In fact, no one won the last Sidekick machine. Everyone had a great time!I wasn't able to take a photo of the project we made but I will be posting it shortly.On Saturday December 19th, we'll be having a preview party of Hero Arts new stamps for 2010. We'll be doing several make & takes using stamps from the new line. As always, we will start at 10 am. Hope you will be able to join us!

Sizzix new pillowbox die

Hi everyone! Here's a sample I made of the new XL pillowbox die from Sizzix. I textured the background using the winter set textured impressions folder. Attached is an ornament I made from the flower tag die and I cut it out of chipboard. This die comes with easy instructions to make the box.

Here is a side view of the box. Notice there is a pleat on the side of the box. This is a different version of the original pillowbox die.

This is the back of the box and the top where it looks like the pillowbox. The bottom of this box is flat so the box stands upright.

Make & take this Saturday

Hi everyone! I know the weekends are becoming very busy with all the Christmas shopping going on. And to help you with some crafty gift ideas, we're having a make & take this Saturday, December 5th from 10-12 pm. They'll be sweet treats because you know my husband has a sweet tooth and lots of prizes!!! Please remember to bring scissors, a piercing tool or awl (you will definately need this tool) and your glasses (so you can see where you're poking).
